MacKenzie Scott Jeff Bezos’s Ex-Wife Divorced Her Second Husband
MacKenzie Scott is an American novelist and billionaire philanthropist best known as the former wife of Jeff Bezos.
As on September 2022, MacKenzie Scott has a net worth of US$33.4 billion and owes a 4% holding in Amazon Company.
Scott is the third-wealthiest woman in the United States and the 21st-wealthiest individual in the world. She is one of the world’s most powerful women by Forbes in 2021, and one of Time’s100 Most Influential People of 2020.
In 2006, Scott won an American Book Award for her novel, The Testing of Luther Albright. In 2013, Her second novel, Traps, was published.
in 2014, She founded Bystander Revolution, an anti-bullying organization in which She has been executive director.
She was focused on giving in some measure half of her abundance to a noble cause, as a signatory to the Giving Promise, Scott made US$5.8 billion in beneficent gifts in 2020, perhaps the biggest yearly conveyance by a confidential person to working foundations.
She also donated a further $2.7 billion in 2021.
MacKenzie Scott has filed for divorce from her second husband Jewett. She married Jewett last year in March.
Jewett was a school teacher at a Seattle private school where Scott and Bezos’s children studied.
Citing court records, reported that on Monday Scott filed for divorce from Dan Jewett in Washington state.
In Giving Pledge’s letter, Jewett said
“ he was grateful for the exceptional privilege it will be to partner in giving away assets with the potential to do so much good when shared”.
He added:
“thats happy coincidence, I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know, and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others.”
On Wednesday, it was noticed that Jewett’s letter now not appearing on the Giving Pledge page and also mentioned “without fanfare, his name was recently edited out of a Medium post-Ms Scott had written last year about their gifts”, as well as Scott’s Amazon page.

Scott writes:
“We each come by the gifts we have to offer by an infinite series of influences and lucky breaks we can never fully understand.
