On August 29, 2022, a representative confirmed Charlbi Dean’s death at a hospital in New York City. Representative confirmed Charlbi Dean’s death reason was a surprising and ‘unexpected sudden illness’. No other reason was given. She was just 32.

Charlbi Dean was a South African Actress and model, whose carrier had just recently begun to rise with a featuring role in Palme d’Or “Triangle of Sadness,” She died in New York City at 32 age. The tragic loss of her at a very young age ahead of the release of ‘Triangle of Sadness’ has left great sorrow in heart of her family and fans.

On 31 August 2022, Charlbi Dean’s brother Alex Jacobs Kriek said publicly against claims that she died from COVID-19 vaccines.

Charlbi Dean Kriek (known as Charlbi Dean) was born in Cape Town on February 5, 1990. Her parents are Joanne and Johan Kriek. She began her childhood in local South Africa. At the very young age of 6, She started modeling and appeared in commercials and catalogs. At the age of 12, She signed with Alfa Model Management. She was homeschooled from the age of 14.

In October 2008, She had a car accident along with her fellow model Ashton Schnehage. She had many injuries. Due to this, she was hospitalized later on. To recover from that incident, She took a break from her career.

In 2010, Dean acted in the Spud as Amanda, a role she would reprise in the sequel Spud 2: The Madness Continues. In 2017, She went to the film Don’t Sleep and in 2018, An Interview with God. She acted role of Syonide, she played for two seasons of the Arrowverse series Black Lightning. In February 2020, it was announced Dean had joined Triangle of Sadness, which premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and won the Palme d’Or.
